Edward retired in 2007 from the City of Hampton after 30 years serving as a welder.
He was preceded in rest by his parents, James and Barbara Burns. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Burns of Hampton; two grandchildren, Warren Wood and Matthew Strand; and four brothers, Robert Burns and family, Phillip Burns and family, Arthur Burns, and Douglas Burns and family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. Edward’s life tribute will be led by Celebrant Bert Rait at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 12, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
