My thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate the life of man who touched so many.  He to was a mentor and a wealth of knowledge to me when I needed it most.  He never missed a chance to share what he knew about ammunition.  He will truly be missed.

It was my honor to have known Ed for some 20 years. He was a fine man & I will miss his presence at the Dog Show functions. Often I would talk with him about various topics. No one told it like it was better than Ed.  I could always count on his honesty; I appreciated his candor; and I respected his judgment. Michael , your father was a great person and good friend. His efforts were impressive and he touched many people. The powder puff derbies at Fentress were fond memories. He included everyone and made time for all. We all look back on our own lives and think who made it wonderful and Ed Rudzenski made mine better. So sorry to hear about Ed's passing!  Seems like just yesterday he and Mike stopped by to see us when they were on a short history trip!  That was last October, and only for one night, but we had a great time reminiscing ... Mike, I am so sorry!  Both your parents were life-long friends and I miss them both! I believe that anyone who ever met Ed would agree that he was probably one of the friendliest people that you could possibly meet. I got an opportunity to meet Ed and his crew in the summer of 2006, during a 30 day TDY. During my time at TRADOC I noticed how many people and organizations would contact him for "the right answer". While we talked, I observed and learned about many things at the TRADOC level of ammunition...thank you Ed! 

I feel privileged to have had a recent encounter with Ed this summer at Rock Island. Even though he did not remember me at first, his memory quickly returned to our little time in an expansive life of love, happiness, compassion and professionalism. He filled me in on the whereabouts of the others in his office at time and what was happening in their lives. He always cared about those he had an opportunity to share time with. And, he knows we ALL cared about him and always will!

My sincere condolences to the Rudzinski family, I have only known Ed for 9 years. But I could tell from my first visit with him at work that he was a genuine, and that any time that I would come to talk to him, I would get the best answer to my question. I would also get a good joke before I left his area.  Ed was not just an expert; Ed was professional about everything he did for our organization.
