He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 20, 1954, and raised by Beatrice Wallace Davis (Rios) and Elbert Davis Sr., living in New York and Georgia, until he served in the United States Army from 1971 – 1974 as a paratrooper. He met the love of his life Linda and married her on July 4, 1973.
Elbert enjoyed landscaping, sports, skating, music, and shooting pool. Most important of all, he loved spending time with his family and making memories with them
Elbert is survived by his children: Lakeetta Joy Davis, Crystal Lafawn Davis, Preston Davis, and Elbert Davis (CJ). He is also survived by his brothers: Melvin Davis, Alan Davis, James (Jake) Davis, and Teddy Sherman, as well as his sister Barbara Davis. He also leaves behind to mourn his 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his parents: Beatrice Davis and Elbert Davis Sr., and his sisters: Shirley Davis and Diane Davis.
