Elsie Virginia Kostyal

Mrs. Elsie Virginia Kostyal, 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019. She was born on August 4th, 1940 and was a resident of Hampton her entire life. She was also an honorary member of the Peninsula Chapter IAAP. Along with reading and tending to her flowers, Elsie found great joy playing with her great- grandson Ashton. Elsie was preceded in Rest by her parents, Ruby and Ernest Beavers; brothers, Charlie and Eddie Beavers; sisters, Ann Sulick and Betty Ewton; and her son Grady Gene Coltrain. She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Mr. Navada Kostyal. Elsie also leaves behind her daughter, Beth Hoss; 4 sons, Brady, Gary, Ernie, and Jimmy Coltrain; 15 grandchildren, Paul and Clay Granger, Ernie, Jimmy, Courtney, Caitlyn, Grady and Tom Coltrain, Justin and Sara Puglisi, Denise Price, Derrick and Dillon Coltrain, Jasmine Garton, and Amber McGee; 16 great grandchildren, Ashton, Noah, Cameron, Jordan, Leila, Wyatt, Gianna, Skylar, Cameron, Clay, Savannah, Haleigh, Maddison, Aidin, Dakota and Kadence; 2 brothers, Tommy and Chris Beavers; 3 sisters, Jean Lawrence, June Howerton, and Ruth Pratt; along with countless nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 22nd, 2019 from 4-8pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton VA 23666, following with a Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 at 10am. A gathering will take place after the service at Elsie and Navada’s house, 1849 Kensington Drive, Hampton, VA 23663.
