Emma Blanche Robinson

Emma was a lifelong resident of Hampton. She retired from Verizon as a telephone operator for 35 years. She was a member of the 411 club and a Bingo and slot machine enthusiast. She was humorous, kind, and caring and was the best mother and friend to her children.

Emma is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Willie Robinson; parents, Floyd and Estelle Buchanan; son, Joey Robinson; sister, Bea McFarland; and son-in-law, Jack Burton.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Burton, June Rickman (Tom), Barbara Satterfield (Stan), and Wilma Robinson; sons, Donald Robinson (Mary), and Michael Robinson; nineteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Alice Bohn (Dick).

Memorial Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of one’s choice.

The family will receive friend’s 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home with a celebration of Emma’s life to begin immediately following at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
