Esum Glenn Rollins

Mr. Rollins was employed with Newport News Shipping & Dry Dock, Coats & Clark, and the City of Newport News and retired after 52 years of service. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he earned a Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion and attended Wise County Technical School.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Terry Rollins; sister, Sally Rollins; and brother, Tommy Rollins. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 52 years, Jean C. Rollins; son, Glenn A. Rollins and his wife, Liz; daughters, Cathy R. Gould and her husband, Randy, and Joella R. Pettit and her husband, Rob; grandchildren, Christopher Rollins, Amanda Gould, Angela Gould, Kelly Gould, Nathanial Pettit, Heather Rollins, Courtney Rollins, and Kristen Rollins; and sister, Barbara Ann Galloway.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 30 from 5 to 7 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Glenn's life will be held Thursday, July 1, at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
