We will remember Joan's welcoming easy-going personality. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  May her memory be a comfort to us all.

Hey my dear cousins- I am so sorry about aunt Joan.  She was a wonderful person!  I remember the day when she and Uncle Skeeter got married.  All of us attended the wedding and when it was over we went to reception.  Jimmy Martin asked me "Pat you want some punch?"  I said yeh.  His hand hit the ladle and that sucker went straight to the bottom of the punch bowl!  Jimmy stuck his right arm down in the punch and pulled the ladle out!  I was so glad our new aunt didn't see us!  She was one of a kind!  I miss Uncle Skeeter and now Aunt Joan.  They were wonderful people!  The greatest!  I l love y'all and will keep you in my prayers.

To my cousins Sharon, Sandy and Marc.  The thoughts and prayers of our family are with you all.  Aunt Joan welcomed us as into the family in 1980 with open arms and immediate unconditional love, as you all did.  She was a very special person and I will miss her very much. RICHARDSON WAS ALL ABOUT FAMILY AND THE LOVE SHE  COULD SHARE WITH THEM.SHE WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN MY HEART AS WILL DAD.THERE IS SOME REJOICING GOING ON IN HEAVEN TODAY FOR THEM TWO ARE TOGETHER AND WITH THE LORD.

Marcus as I viewed the slide show I was filled with joy knowing that not just your mom but both of your parents served as such wonderful positive beacons for you & your sister's.  The lessons they taught and the values they instilled in you will be forever lasting.  You and you family are in my heart and my prayers.

She was a very special and amazing women and I was blessed to have known her. I will miss her.

I spent many a day and night at the Richardson household, and I was always treated like just another one of the youngins!  Mr & Mrs Richardson were like second parents to me as they welcomed me into the family.  I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around Joan and welcome her into her heavenly home.  My thoughts and prayers to her lovely family especially my dearest friend, Sharon.

For over 40 years Joan and Jim Richardson were across the street neighbors to the Oswald tribe, and a kinder more affectionate couple would have been hard to find. Our sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom to Sharon, Sandy and Mark..Take comfort in the fact that she is now reunited with the love of her life, your Dad, Jim Richardson.
