Florence Carolyn Burton

Born in Emporia VA, Florence was a long time employee of Lerner Stores, where she retired as a District Manager after 31 years of service.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, George E. Burton; a son, Glen and wife Judy; 3 daughters, Carolyn, Sally Ann and Cindy Ann; 5 grandchildren, Robert, Blythe, Tyler, Denis and Faith Ann; 2 great-grandchildren, Chandler and Christian; 3 brothers, David, Hilton and Claude.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home in Hampton. A celebration of her life will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bert Rait and Rev. Samuel Thompson officiating. Burial will be announced at a later date.
