

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Alice Bolen, along with his daughters Wendy Reid and Christina Holland. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Ashlyn Reid, Noah Holland, and Joseph Reid Jr. He is survived by his brother David (Sandy) Bolen, and great grandchildren Londyn Reid, Paris Holland and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Frank was born in War West Virginia. He attended and graduated from Hampton High School. After graduation he joined the United States Army where he served honorably. After his time in the military Frank went on to work for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, where he worked for 30 years before retiring.
Frank was very active in coaching Northhampton little league softball and was the coach for Bethel Highschool Softball, for many years. You could always find him on the field making improvements on it for the girls.
A visitation will be held on Monday October 13, 2025 from 5-8 PM at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home, located at 2551 N. Armistead Ave, Hampton VA 23666. A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday October 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home, followed immediately by a burial at Parklawn Memorial Park.
