As a youth growing up in rural Newton, Frederick loved to hunt, fish, and play outside with his numerous cousins. He was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church but was made to go to church.
After graduating from Newton High School in 1987; he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a Munitions Systems Specialist. His Air Force career took him around the world to places like Guam, Japan, England, Korea, and various stateside locations. Frederick also supported historical military campaigns such as Global War on Terrorism, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), and Kuwait Liberation. He was also a survivor of the Khobar Towers terrorist bombing while deployed to Operation Southern Watch (Saudi Arabia).
Frederick retired from the Air Force after serving 24 years and went on to earn his Bachelors of Science in Computer studies. After taking some time off to enjoy his passions of full-time hunting and fishing, he started working with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in May2015 as a Product Data Specialist (PDS) in the Aviation Engineering Directorate. Aside from his love of hunting and fishing, Frederick loved working with his hands and creating or fixing things.
Frederick was preceded in death by: his parents; sister Pamela; and brother Sydney.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife of 25 years, Tomickca; two sons, Marquell and ElShaun; granddaughter Ahmiri’ah; three brothers Osa, Cedrick, and Kawam; three sisters Joyce, Tonya and Chondra; uncles, aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
