Mrs. Braswell was a native of North Carolina and a current resident of Hampton; she was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Genola was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Louis E. Braswell. Survivors include her son, Louis H. Braswell; two daughters, Sherry Smith and husband Jim, Terri Mowrar; sister, Betsy House; five grandchildren, Dawn Brinson and husband Gene of Hayes, Angela Morris and husband Roy of Hayes, Kimberly Phillips of Newport News, Raymond Tracy II and wife Krystal of Texas and Ryan Mowrar of Hampton; five great-grandchildren, Kailee and Colby Morris, Alaina and Jake Brinson and Torin Neal Tracy.
