

Glade William Brown II passed peacefully into heaven to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a long battle with Cortical Basal Degeneration. Glade retired from the U.S. Navy as a Senior Chief after 24 years. He worked as a contractor for Northrop Grumman and Logicon Syscon after his retirement. Glade loved adventure and flying small planes. He was proud of having earned his pilot’s license and was an avid historian of military aeronautics. He loved riding his motorcycle “Baby”, parachuting and parasailing. Glade married his soul mate Sandra in 2010.
Glade leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Sandra J A Brown; his sons, Glade W. Brown III, and Aaron Brown and wife Terri; his daughter, Sandra S. Brown and husband Scott; sisters, Pattie Souza, Robin Lynn and Joan Darling; and brother, William Brown, all of California. His two beautiful granddaughters, Aubrey and Alexandra were the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Glade Brown, Sr., stepfather Carl, and sisters, Mary and Roberta.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a celebration of Glade’s life to begin at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or Ivy Memorial Baptist Church’s children’s ministry.
