

He attended the University of North Carolina in 1956 on a football scholarship. He graduated in 1962 from the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School. He retired in 1995 from the American Bureau of Shipping.
Harold was a member of Khedive Temple, Peninsula Shrine Club and served as a president of the Khedive Oriental Band. He was an avid runner and completed six marathons; he was also a fishing enthusiast, spending much of his retired time fishing.
He was the son of the late Louie Clark and Hazel Robinson Clark. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 56 years, Barbara Denton Clark, his daughter, Lisa Alexander (Keith) of Tucson, AZ, son Christopher Clark (Jennifer) of Pearl City, IL, and his beloved grandchildren, Colin and Lauren Alexander, and Tori, Tyra, Tia, Tyson and Tyler Clark. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Clark Allen (Bob) of Oak Island, NC and dear in-laws Linda Denton Peters and Jerry Peters and Buddy and Trish Denton.
A memorial service to celebrate Harold’s life will be held on Thursday, March 3rd at 1:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, Hampton, VA with a visitation immediately following the service.
