Mrs. Wisner was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ellen Bennett; her first husband, James C. Mitchell, Sr.; and sister, Margene Bernard.
She is survived by her husband, Clinton; three sons, James C. Mitchell, Jr. (Sandra), John J. Mitchell (Teresa), and Stephen L. Mitchell; sister, Miriam Black of Georgia; brother, Robert E. Bennett (Roberta) also of Georgia; two step-daughters, Susan Powell (Charles) and Jennifer Salldin; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Helen's life will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Gideon Society or any charity of choice.
