

Navada loved spending time with his family. He and his son, Mark, were best friends. Navada loved children. He was kind and funny with a great sense of humor.
Navada was an extremely talented artist. He enjoyed painting landscapes, wildlife, pets, and family members. He also enjoyed putting together models; in particular planes and tanks from World War II.
Surviving Navada are his children, Cindy (David) Plessinger, Mark (Linda) Kostyal, Julie (Kevin) McLane, Lorraine Rabe, Tammy (Rick) Shifflett; stepchildren, Brady Coltrain, Gary Coltrain, Earnest Coltrain, James (Renee) Coltrain, and Beth (Jhon) Hoss; brothers, James (Ruth) Kostyal, Wayne Kostyal; sister, Aleithia (Mike) Powell; 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Elsie; parents, Hubert S. and Aleithia Kostyal; stepson, Grady Coltrain; granddaughter, Nicole Shifflett; and sister-in-law, Debbie Kostyal.
A Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on October 9, 2020 at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA 23666. Pastor Chris McMillan of Providence Baptist Church, Hayes, VA will be officiating.
