

He was a loving husband of Kay Daniel Daunheimer. He settled in Virginia 30yrs ago and met his soul mate, Kay. They were married for 27 years. James Richard Daunheimer was born March 3, 1951 to parents Warren P. Daunheimer and June Lister Daunheimer.
He was a native of South .Hadley, MA. He graduated from South Hadley High School and later earned an Associates Degree at STCC. He worked in the printing industry from an early age. He had a passion for music and was a very accomplished drummer. He played professionally for 10 yrs with various bands mainly on the east coast. He played locally with a few bands, Free Reign, his favorite. He was employed by Apollo Press in Newport News.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Warren P. Daunheimer, and step-father Charles Bock. Survivors include his wife Kay, son James W. Daunheimer of Maryland; survivors from MA include, his mother, June Bock of Wilbraham; sister Susan Peabody and husband Dave of Ludlow; nieces; Sharon Laurin and husband Mike of South.Hadley and Cindy Lanza; nephews; Eddie Lanza of Ludlow , Billy Lanza and wife Tina of Ware, and his aunt, Ruth Lister Hollis and uncle Steve Hollis of New London, NH.
Jim is also survived by his loving family of Hampton. Bob ‘Daddy’ Daniel, Mabel ‘Mama’ Daniel, Michael and Donna Ferrell, nephews Hugh Ferrell, and Max Ferrell, and niece Haley ‘Baley’ Ferrell. We loved him so much, but we know that you are resting and rejoicing in heaven with Jesus now.
The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Pastor Darrell Garner will be officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
