James joined Navy to serve on submarines in WWII, and Aircraft Carriers in the Korean War until retirement.
He married Hazel Watt in 1959. Worked for Freighliner manufacturing in Hampton. Resided in Norfolk, Silver Spring MD, and Williamsburg.
Enjoyed photography, painting, and travel.
Left to cherish his memory are his son David and his wife Karen, daughter Pam; grandkids Arielle, Ursula, Nathan, and Candace.
