James Arthur “Buddy” Kellihan, 81, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Buddy was a native of North Carolina and had been a resident of Hampton for 63 years. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Chadbourn, North Carolina.
Buddy was preceded in death by his father, James W. Kellihan; mother, Iva Lee Kellihan; brother, Edward Kellihan; and sister, Betty Kellihan. He is survived by his wife of many loving years, Patsy Kellihan; daughter, Patty Kellihan; sisters, Janice Kellihan and Frances Holloway and husband, Quincy; nephew, Justin Holloway and wife, Laura; brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuel E. Britt, J.T. Britt and wife, Ann, Glenda Largent and husband, Jim, and Page Britt; and best friend, Lin Eure and his wife, Nancy.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home with a celebration of Buddy’s life to follow at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
