He was a painting contractor for over thirty years.
Preceding him in rest is his wife of 28 years, Anne Kitchens, and brother, Coy Kitchens. James is survived by his children, Rick Kitchens, Jim Kitchens, Don Kitchens, Jerry Kitchens, Wanda Minette, and Dee Clare; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Dale Kitchens; and sisters, Edith Steadman and Betty Frazier.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 12:00 PM, graveside in Hampton – Veterans Memorial Park.
