Jean L. Walk

Jean Laurie Walk, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was born in Raleigh, NC, raised in Fayetteville, NC and moved to Falls Church, VA where she met the love of her life, Dennis Walk. They were married in Falls Church, VA in 1967 and then stationed in England due to his duty in the Navy. They also had a tour in Japan where they adopted their daughter, Candice. Laurie enjoyed sewing and learned to make the clothing for Japanese Dolls. When returning to the states, she was a stay at home mother until her daughter started school. Then worked as a volunteer at the local schools. She bowled in a daytime League receiving the most improved average. Laurie was active in church, playing hand bells, singing in the choir and taking care of young children. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and attending events that they participated in.

She is preceded in death by her parents Walter R McSwain and Jean Doris McSwain, her son William R Walk, and granddaughter Namoie D Rogers. She is survived by her husband Dennis, daughter Candice Waller (Stephen), son Robert Walk (Melody), son Danny Walk and grandchildren Dalton Waller (Lauren), George "Alex" Waller, Christopher Rogers, and Eliza Walk.
