Jeff was truly one of kind. He was one of those people that if he asked how you were or how your day was going he genuinely cared. As stated by another friend, when you work in the restaurant business many people come and go...Jeff is one a few who made a lasting impression. Always willing to lend a hand at work or cover a shift if you had something important going on no matter how much he had worked already that week. He would do anything for anyone and this world was lucky to have such an amazing soul for as long as it did. My heart is with his family.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about Jeff was his heart of gold. And he truly had the biggest, warmest heart of gold. He was the most giving person, always helping anyone in need without hesitation. If you were ever having a bad day Jeff could instantly brighten your day with his calming, comforting words of wisdom and wicked sense of humor.
Jeff cherished his family deeply and the biggest joy in his life was his his Son, Nick. And if you have ever met Nick it’s clear that Jeff’s heart of gold, his sense of humor, giving nature, and big smile were passed along to Nick. I will always remember the many great laughs I had with Jeff. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy are with his family.

Jeffrey was a warm, enthusiastic, charming and generous young man. To have Jeffrey as our friend was a priceless gift. We followed Jeffrey from restaurant to restaurant because he gave his heart and soul everywhere he worked. Our favorite part was when he clocked out and joined us for a few minutes before traveling home to Williamsburg.

His star was bright; it simply did not shine long enough.
May you rest in peace dear friend. You will forever be in our hearts.

It has been a week since hearing the news of Jeffrey and I still haven't been able to figure out what to write. There are no comforting words to make it better. I wish I had some magic inspiring words to make everyone feel fine and not hurt. All I can offer is love. And Hugs just like Jeffrey always gave. I am so happy to have been his friend over the past 7 years. Sharing many great tales of youth , and what things we hoped life would hold for our children, sharing life's frustrations and heartbreaks too. He was part of my family here in Richmond and I am truly going to miss him.

Being in the restaurant industry you work with a lot of different people. Some come and go and there are a few you will never forget. Jeffrey is definitely one of those people I will never forget. We had an instant friendship, he was such a nice and friendly guy. I’ll remember Jeffrey’s laugh, smile and awesome personality. I’m glad I got to know him. I know as he’s walking into heaven he will greet everyone like he would his tables...”Hello folks!”

Jeffrey was one of the most generous men I have ever met in my life. He was generous with his time, his heart, and his spirit. I wish I had the opportunity to be as good a friend to him, as he was to me. I will have to settle for striving to be more like Jeffrey. I will try to honor his memory by always seeking to give a hand up. In that way, I can give thanks to Jeffrey and remember the countless times he helped me. I will miss Jeffrey dearly.

My deepest sympathies to Jeffrey’s family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
