Joan A. Dery

Joan Audrey Dery, 62, a lifelong resident of Yorktown, Virginia, passed away at home on July 21st, 2021 after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Audrey Dery; her sisters, Celina Prutch and Theresa Dery; and her brother, Edward Dery. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Anne and John Copeland; brother, Raymond Dery II and his wife Lynn; and brothers, David and John Dery; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her beloved cat Rebel, who were all such an important part of her life. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home in Hampton and a funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 29th at 12:30 PM at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yorktown. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joan's memory to the Foodbank of Virginia Peninsula, 2401 Aluminum Ave in Hampton, Virginia, 23661.
