Born on May 26, 1938, Joan lived in Newport News, Virginia.
She leaves behind her son Jonathan Lee and his wife Whitney Lee, as well as her grandchildren CJ Lee and his wife Chelsea Lee, Cody Lee, Matthew Stewart, and Hope James and her husband Alex. She also leaves behind her great granddaughter Paige Lee, and her very best friend of 40 years Frances Lynn Clark.
