

John Wesley Williams (Wes) went home to be with the Lord suddenly on October, 24, 2019 at the age of 45. Wes was born on December 5, 1973 in Hampton, Virginia. He was a brilliant child who grew up to be a much loved man. He graduated from Kecoughtan High School in 1992 and began his lifelong career as a hard working Auto Body Technician who believed in absolute perfection. Wes never knew a stranger and was known to all as a good and kind man who would do anything to help another. He spent several years on the Surry Volunteer Fire Department before moving to Richmond, Virginia. Wes was an avid hunter, fisherman, artist and animal lover.
Wes is survived by his father Edwin F. Williams, Jr. (Donna), his two sisters, Amy R. Porter (Sean) and Courtney Evans (Mark), his two nieces Megan & Abby, two nephews, Shannon and Blake, his paternal grandmother, Betty B. Williams, his maternal grandmother, Althea R. Smith and a number of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Wes was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lee Richardson, his paternal grandfather Edwin F. Williams and his maternal grandfather, Cecil E. Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Wes’s name to you local ASPCA. A gathering of loved ones will take place at 3 pm on Friday, November 1, 2019, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4 pm, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666, 757-827-4670.
