Joyce Jean Worthington

Joyce Jean Worthington , 87, of Hampton, Virginia died August 2, 2020, peacefully at home. She was born on April 3, 1933 to William Wainwright and Elsie Cash in Greene County, North Carolina. She married Vernon T. Worthington on August 17, 1950 and they had three children, Susan, Brenda and Buddy. She worked as a homemaker many years and was a wonderful Nanny to many grandkids. She loved going to the Moose Lodge and dancing. Joyce is survived by her daughters Susan Aldrich and Brenda Hairston. Grandsons Charlie Dryden, Robert Cooper, granddaughters Stacie Crowder, Tiffany Simmons. She also had 20 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon T. Worthington, Son Vernon Worthington Jr, Grandson Richard Cooper and great grandson Dillon Eve. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
