

She was a person who loved life and lived it to its fullest. A faithful mother, loving grandmother, devoted sister, supportive aunt and committed cousin. She loved family and was the the family member that kept all generations together despite location I.e Trinidad, Grenada and the US.
She was a community activist who devoted a lot of her time to support the community in the arts. She gave so much time to indigenous people of Arima, to the Arima Borough Council, and the National Carnival Committee just to name a few organizations. She was also a political stalwart and an active member of the People’s National Movement to the end.
She leaves to celebrate the great memories of her life; daughters, Janine Ambrose Salina and Lisa La Forte and their husbands, Yuri and Cedric; grandkids, Tristen, Thais and Giancarlo Salina and Soleil La Forte; her brother, Conrad Calliste; dear sister, Rita Roberts; as well as her loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Celebration of June's life will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA 23666, followed by her cremation.
