Kent Ray Warner

October 12, 1936April 23, 2012

Kent Ray Warner, 75, died Monday, April 23 at his home. A native of King, NC, Mr. Warner lived in Newport News for 70 years.

He worked for the Newport News Shipyard and Norshipco as a crane operator until his retirement in 1998.

He is preceded in death by his son, Randy Warner, his mother Hazel Warner and his father Carl Warner. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Belva Jane Warner, his daughter, Gina Warner of Newport News, one sister, Dot Beasley and her husband Dwight of York Co, one brother in law Charles Dowless and his wife Vickie of FL., four nieces and two nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date and memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends are encouraged to visit www.parklawn-woodfh.com to share memories and words of condolence with the family.

Arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave. in Hampton, 23666.
