Lanice Wood Campbell

She began her journey of life in Lowesville,VA, and attended Amherst High School. Shortly after, she married the one and only love of her life, Willie Campbell, on November 5, 1960.

Lanice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an exceptional homemaker and a great cook!! She truly enjoyed the many meals shared with her family and Roxy.

Lanice was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Edward Wood; brothers, Billy and Ronald Wood; sisters, Margaret Kidd, Lorene Massie and Regina Cash; and grandsons, Joshua and Zachary Campbell. She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Willie Campbell; son, Jerry and his wife, Kim; grandchildren, Tyler Andrew Dison, Samantha Nicole Campbell, Hannah Rose Campbell, and Rachel Jane Campbell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 20 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Bill West officiating. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
