She was born on June 15, 1923 in South Boston, Va. to the late Jacob and Bertha Chaney. In 1951, she married Marvin McWright, Sr. and had five children. She was a long time peninsula resident where she retired from the Civil Service at Fort Monroe in 1984. She was a devout Seventh - day Adventist.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin McWright, Sr., sons Michael and Timothy, and her beloved pet, Killer.
She is survived by her brothers Watson and W.W. Chaney, sisters Louise Seek and Margaret Ross, daughter Pat Arboneaux and husband Tom, sons Marvin McWright, Jr. and Tom McWright and his wife Michelle, six grand children and four great- grand children.
Family will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 13th from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at Parklawn – Wood Funeral Home with funeral services being held at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
