Linda passed on October 4, 2023, leaving behind her two sons, Thomas O Pollard and Jonathan C Pollard (Nenita) and one grandson, Christopher T Pollard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother (Walter) and her loving husband, Laydon Monroe (LM). Born and raised in Shaker Heights, OH, Linda spent her adult years living on the Peninsula. She earned her Registered Nursing degree at Thomas Nelson Community College and dedicated her career to helping others. Linda was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Fox Hill where she was a member of the church choir.
A public visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
