Linda Kay Williams

Linda Kay Williams, age 77, departed this life on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at her home in Hampton, VA with her husband, Richard, by her side. Born in Giles County, Virginia on December 27, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Frazier Romie and Sadie Tawney Parr.

Linda was an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family. Especially her brother and five sisters. She cherished her granddaughters and spent countless hours with them playing word games and baking cookies.

Linda retired from Jefferson Lab in Newport News, VA in 2012 after 25 years of service, where she provided administrative support for the Free Electron Laser Division.

Linda was preceded in death by her sisters Sheryl Lafon and Pamela Meredith. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Williams; daughter, Jennifer Williams (Maggie); granddaughters, Rachel Rochelle (John) and Ashley Balmoja (Brock); brother, LeRoy Parr; sisters, Teresa Parr, LaDonna Parr, and Teena Long (Michael); and many family members and friends whose lives she touched.

A visitation will be held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, located at 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia, on October 28, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Funeral Service will take place at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, in the Chapel, on October 29, 2025, beginning at 12:00 pm, committal service will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, at the same address, on October 29, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
