Lorraine Harkins, 56, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017. She was born in Pennsylvania and was a resident of Hampton for 30 years.

She was a companion with Care Advantage Health Care.

Lorraine was preceded in rest by her father, Henry Burgstalher. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Wayne Harkins; three sons, Christopher Harkins (Donna), James Harkins, Timothy Harkins; granddaughter, Makayla Harkins; mother, Theresa Knox; three brothers, Robert Burgstalher, James Burgstalher (Sherri), and Joe Burgstalher (Lisa).

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 12th at the funeral home. Entombment to follow.

I am so sorry Wayne. Lori was one of the nicest persons I have ever met. Lori used to call me Scottie when my name was Scott. To the Harkins children I am so sorry for you loss, your mom was a wonderful person. Wayne my friend I wish I could take all this pain away. I am here for u even though we are so far apart. SO sorry this was a shock just saw her at Walmart the week of her passing and seen her out in the yard. praying for the family she will sure be missed. praying for chris and donna and grandbaby .

Sending condolences to Wayne, TJ and the rest of Lori's family and friends on their loss of such a kind, caring person. We met through my son & TJ being in the same classes at school and she was a comfort to me as we worked through Charlie's diagnosis of autism and establishing his IEP. I will cherish the memories of the times our families visited together. God bless you all.
