Loucindia Ann Bembury

On September 21, 1952 Loucindia Ann Bembury, known as “Cindy” to family, was born in Suffolk, Virginia to the late Garland Elijah Bembury and Edith Cleveland Bembury. She attended Dyca Heights intermediate school and later Thomas Jefferson high school in her early teens. She received her diploma from Penn Foster. During life she touched the hearts of many starting with her own children and her foster children. Her hobbies included baking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, crafting, and fishing. On the morning of February 10, 2019, at approximately 1:02 am, Loucindia was called home to be with the Lord. She joins her mother and father as well as her brother, Garland Cleveland, known as “Garland Jr”. Although she is no longer here, the memories of her will stay with us forever. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, 4 amazing children: Lloyd Bembury, Lotosha Biggs, Nyesha Keawmanee, Ezekiel Arps; 4 sisters and three brothers: Mary Frances Bembury, James Nathaniel Bembury, Barbra Jean Lee Ricks, Elijah Mingo Walltower, Michael Leroy Ross, Annie Mae Victoria Bembury, and Betty Jean Bembury; a total of 16 grandchildren: Octavia Saunders, Alexzandria Saunders, Menz Saunders-Savage, Treshaune Newby, Monyee Saunders, Zalique Saunders, Xailah Keawmanee, Kajiya Biggs, Zhaleshea Biggs, Quisean Biggs, Taevon Bembury, Xzavion Biggs, Aaliyah Biggs, Taki Bembury, Olivia -Hahnan-Arps, David Lattimore Jr; six great grandchildren: Valentina Zarceno, Avril Saunders, Hayley Saunders, Sanaii Newby, Romeo Zarceno, Malaki Hunter, and a host of family and friends that love her dearly. A Celebration of Cindy's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday February 18, 2019 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home 2551 N. Armistead Ave Hampton, VA 23666. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
