Luke Dale Engebretson

Luke was born August 11, 1983 at Ellsworth Air Force, in Rapid City, South Dakota and came to Hampton in 1989 where he attended high school at Bethel High School in Hampton and Tabb High School in York County. Luke had been a long time employee of Chesapeake Controls and was a hardworking and dedicated employee. If he wasn't working, his time was spent with his daughter at the Lake, where he taught Brielle to hunt and fish. Luke was an avid outdoorsman, and will be missed by his band of brothers at R&R Hunt Club. He had an infectious smile, was quick witted and had a wonderful sense of humor.

In addition to his daughter Brielle, Luke is survived by his mother, Leora Witt-Hill and her husband Denny, his father, Scott Engebretson and his wife Cheryl, sister Sonja Barrett, brothers Lance Engebretson and Stephen Morgan, his nephews and niece, Isaiah Tarlton, Nathaniel and Mikayla Horton. Luke is also survived by his grandmothers, Marjorie Engebretson and Marlies Witt. He was preceeded in death by his grandfathers Harold Engebretson and Dale Witt.

Our lives will never be the same, but we would love you to join us in a Celebration of Luke's life at the Chapel at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 1 PM. Burial will be private.
