Margaret Teresa (Walsh) Silvia

She was born May 31, 1931, in Fort Kent Maine to Mary & John Walsh and was the last surviving of 9 children.

She married Gilbert Silvia Jr. on August 8, 1952, and they were married for 68 years until his passing in September 2020. Together they raised three children and spent 24 years traveling wherever the Air Force took them.

She worked for 18 years at JC Penney in Hampton in the business office.

She loved to sew for her grandchildren, do cross stitch, and make delicious Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for her family and friends.

She is survived by her 3 children, Stephen (Michela) Silvia, Washington DC, Gary (Jackie) Silvia, Williamsburg VA, and Susan Fanning, King and Queen County, VA.

She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at a Visitation and Service for Margaret that will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666.
