Mark is survived by his mother Maureen Smith, father Bill Nichols and wife Barbara, sister Debbie Nichols, nieces Jacquelyn and Alexandria Pinkleton, aunt Gail Mizelle, uncle Edward Nichols and wife Mary, numerous cousins, countless friends who considered him family and his beloved cat "Ember".
He was Deputy Treasurer for the city of Newport News Virginia.
Mark leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter and fun to all who were privileged to know him. His good humor, generous spirit and compassion touched the hearts of everyone he met. Mark, at the "forever age of 29" will be fondly remembered and his memory deeply cherished by all.
A Celebration of Mark's happy Life will be held on June 26, 2024 from 5-7 PM at Mama Rosa's restaurant in Hampton VA.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on July 1, 2024 at Parklawn Wood Memorial Park, Hampton VA.
