Mary Catherine Crosby

She was preceded in death by the “love of her life,” best friend and husband of 48 years, Lester Crosby. Mary is survived by her children, Sharon Gigeay (James), Michael Crosby (Jeannette), and Timothy Crosby; grandchildren, Sean Harrington (Karon), Christopher Crosby, Phillip Crosby (Neha), Tim Crosby and Amanda; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Erin.

Mary had a passion for playing golf, cooking, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends. We will miss her loving smile, timely wisdom, kind generosity, and boundless energy.

The family would like to thank her loving and compassionate caregivers Margie and Rebecca. We also want to thank Daniele, Heather and Melanie from Hospice, and to the nurses and aides who took wonderful care of Mom for 10 years; a very special thank-you to Connie Walsh, a great friend that Mary made along the way living with Alzheimer’s. Together they learned to battle this disease without complaint and lots of humor.

A private graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the LeMay Foundation which helps widows of all Air Force retirees through financial support and grants.
