Mary was a beacon of light and love in the lives of all who knew her. She was born in Ohio to the late John and Elizabeth Kiss. She was the second oldest daughter in a family of 13. She built a life centered on boundless affection and unwavering support for her family.
She met, fell in love and married the love of her life Charles Edward Fischer of Martins Ferry Ohio, and they were married 51 wonderful years. Together they traveled the world as Charles was serving in the military. They raised three children, Charlie (Debi) of Miami FL, Tom (Barbara) of Yorktown VA, and Jill (Russ) Yates of Greensboro MD.
Mary dedicated her life to nurturing her children and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter and love. She shaped the lives of her children and embodied the true essence of motherhood, always putting the needs of her family above her own.
She found joy in simple pleasures and her memory will live on in the countless lessons and values she taught and the love she shared. Her devoted children and a host of extended family and friends will miss her dearly.
