She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Mary Alice Cofield; husband, Leonard R. Stevens; and three sisters, Audrey Macentire, Mary Jeanette Blizzard, and Willie Mae Hicks.
Mattie is survived by her son, Kenneth R. Stevens; daughter, Leonetta R. Jules (Maasai); grandchildren, Chamell Ashley, Kennetta Grayson (David), Kamisha Stevens, Quativia Stevens, Nakya Stevens, Tyjane Stevens, Taneja Jules, and Precious Jules; great-grandchildren, Samiya Ashley, Simone Ashley, Chamell Ashley II, Zamarii Stevens, Kasch Stevens, Emeri Butler-Morris; two nieces she helped raise as her own daughters, Patricia Blizzard (Ronald) and Paulette Rogers (Dennis); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
Due to Covid, services will be private but available to be viewed on Parklawn-Wood's Facebook page on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
