He is preceded in death by his father, Russell C. Moore; mother, Mae N. Moore; and brother, Wayne Moore. Michael is survived by his son, Timothy Moore; daughters, Amanda Moore, and Ashleigh Moore; twin sister, Michelle Byrd (Thomas); sisters, Linda Cooper (Dennis), and Terry Davis; and special friend, Donna.
Michael was a gentle giant and a lover of music. All he had to do was pick up a guitar and start playing, and the room would light up. Throughout Michael’s life, he was in many bands, to include Toyz, Relix, and Rip Tide, and met many lifelong friends while performing. His music was a way for him to connect with people, and through this he put a smile on many faces. No matter how he was feeling he would always try to make you feel good. Michael was talented and worked very hard. He would do anything for anyone, even after working a 12 hour shift; all you had to do was ask. Remember the good times, the funny moments, and his wild hair. Michael may be gone, but musicians live forever, because they live on through their music. Even though we stop, the music never does and Michael dedicated his life to rocking and rolling, so what I would say to Mike in the afterlife is ROCK ON!!!
