

Mildred worked at Mrs. Walton’s Sandwiches. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild and the Endowment Committee. She spent her life in service to her church and in the community.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram; son, Scott; sisters, Margaret and Marie; and her brother, Gilbert. She is survived by her children, Jim (Merilyn), Cathy , Carolyn, Will (Michelle); grandchildren, James, Becky, Nathan, Susan, Amber, Robert, Sarah, Leilani, Jesse, Mikayla, Joey; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby and Reed Walton; sister, Arline Silverthorn; and daughter-in-law, Dianne.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A reception will be at 12:00 pm, Sunday, July 12 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, with a Celebration of Mildred’s life to begin at 1:30 pm at the church. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
