She was married May 7, 1955 to Norman Franklin Witten, Sr. until his death November 21, 2004. She was the mother of Frank and Wesley, nine grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. As a military family they lived in Japan, Germany and several stateside locales, settling in Hampton, Virginia. In retirement she belonged to the Quilt Guild, sang with the Songbirds and for many years was a member of a pinochle card group of military wives.
Myla was preceded in rest by her parents; husband Norman Sr., sisters; Bobbie Jean Humphrey and Mary Louise Poro, and brother Charles Edward.
A graveside gathering and celebration of Myla’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
