Myrtle Marie Ward

Myrtle Marie Ward, 90, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018. She was a native and resident of Poquoson for 73 Years. Mrs. Ricky was a homemaker and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Myrtle was preceded in rest by her mother and father; her husband, Essie Ward, Sr.; son, Essie Ward, Jr.; and daughter, Carol Krieger. She is survived by her son, David Ward; son-in-law, Bill Krieger; daughter, Connie Campbell and husband, Buddy; five grandchildren, Ann McKnight, DJ Ward, Ashley Campbell Soderholm, Brian Krieger, and Lindsey Campbell; and seven great-grandchildren, Brandon Sharp, JoJo McKnight, David Ward, Lola Ward, Lilly Ward, Abigail Nardoianni, and Hayden Soderholm. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Myrtle’s life will start at 1:00 pm at the funeral home; interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to the Poquoson Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2099, Poquoson, Virginia.
