

With hope in the Resurrection, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and with deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the departure of our beloved, Nahed Elgohary, who reposed in the Lord on September 29, 2025, at the age of 80.
At the young age of 24, she immigrated to the U.S. with her beloved soulmate and love of her life, Ayad. She was a devoted daughter of the Coptic Orthodox Church, strong in faith and filled with love and compassion. Nahed lived her life with her whole heart, pouring love and joy into every person she met. She always said, “Family is everything—never lose the bond,” and she was the center of every family gathering. Her smile, laughter and the sparkle in her eyes lit up every room. Each person close to her heart was embraced with a special word of endearment, reflecting her love and care.
Through God’s mercy, she lived a beautifully fulfilled 80yrs and is a living testimony to her faith and God’s grace. Her life was a witness of strength, perseverance and unwavering trust in Christ. Her heart of gold, deep faith, and love for life leave behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ayad; their children who were the pride of her heart; Nivin Elgohary (husband Mark), Marlene Ward (husband Mick) & Dr. Anthony Elgohary (wife Dr. Dina); and cherished seven grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Andrew (wife Miraie), David (wife Kayla), Christina, Alexandra, Gina, Jacob & Joshua; who will forever cherish her memory.
The Funeral Prayer will be offered at St. George’s Coptic Orthodox Church on October 11, 2025, at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Rd. Hampton, VA 23666. Friends and family are invited to join as we honor and celebrate her remarkable life. The family is requesting friends and guests wear white or light colors to the service, please do not wear black.
