Nan Foster Meadows

Nan Foster Meadows, 75, beloved, devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away December 3, 2023 in York County, VA. She was born in Lynchburg, VA on December 11, 1947, to William Johnson and Helen Carroll Foster. She graduated from Kecoughtan High School, Hampton, VA in 1965. Nan was an avid reader of mysteries and cherished her cats, sharing stories of their precarious antics. She has many dedicated friends and was an active member of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, William David Meadows (Jennifer); daughter, Rachel Meadows Farrow (Chris); nine grandchildren: Katlyn Farrow, William Meadows, Jr. (Kyndal), Lauren Farrow, Joshua Farrow, Emma Meadows, Jared Farrow, Jake Farrow, Halle Farrow, and Jackson Farrow; sister, Judy Carroll Foster (Susan Becker); and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Her pride for her children and grandchildren resonated through her smile anytime someone would inquire, as they were the light of her life. The family appreciates all the care and support provided to her as she spent the last nine years at Regency Health and Rehabilitation Center. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Ivy Memorial Baptist Church, 2200 Coliseum Drive, Hampton, VA 23666. A Celebration of Life service will follow immediately at 11:00 AM.
