She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, George; daughter, Susan Dorner and husband, David; son, Thomas and wife, Saundra; and daughter, Linda Morrison and husband, Sandy. She is also survived by three grandsons, Jonathan Dorner, Christopher Dorner, and Adam Morrison; granddaughter, Janice Michael; and great-grandson, Gavin Place, all of whom were the joys of her life.
Nancy's life was centered around her family, her work, and her church. She retired from Hampton City schools after 25 years of service. She was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church for over 50 years.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 27 from 5-7 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton. A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton on Friday, January 28 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund, 1021 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA 23666.
