

Nina Rose Lowe-Gentile, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's and Dementia. She was born and raised in High Point, North Carolina, moving to Seaford area of York County, Virginia in 1951.
Nina retired after 15 years as a real estate agent for Abbitt Realty. She also worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Howard Mirmelstein for 26 years.
Nina was preceded in death by her first husband, Sigle Lowe; her second husband, Anthony Gentile; daughter, Nancy L. Griffith; and sister, Talitha Dodd.
Nina leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Betty Mohler and Andrea Pitcher and husband, Michael; seven grandchildren, Mashelle Cleckner (Chad), Lori Mountford (Ray), Annette Haywood (Ben), Bill Frisbee, Debbie Bohannon (Billy), Michael Pitcher (Tracy), James Pitcher (Elana); 14 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She loved to garden and work in her flower beds while bird watching. She was an avid artist, placing her work at Granny's Attic. Her art work was also displayed at York County Municipal buildings. She loved boating and fishing with Sigle on their boat, "The Nina R."
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a celebration of Nina's life to begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
