

Noble was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was also a welding foreman for the Newport News Shipyard for 27 years and retired in 1984. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and building birdhouses.
Noble was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters. He is survived by his bride of 50 years, Cleo Steadman Sink; children, Patricia Tyree, Gloria Stewart, Barbara Insley, Patricia Sink Moreau (Timothy), and Mark Sink(Debra); ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Alma LaVone Beard.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Noble's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment with honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Dr. Mark E. Ellis Endowment Fund for Cancer Care Advancement.
