

Mr. Stoner was a United States Navy veteran who served in WWII. He went on to work as a civilian employee for Langley Air Force Base and NASA for 42 years.
Oliver traveled the United States extensively with his family by car in his vintage Cadillacs which he loved working on and maintaining. In his retirement he actively pursued his love of Bluegrass music and playing guitar with friends who called him Roy.
Oliver was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ruby May Stoner. He is survived by his only daughter, Ruby Ann Snyder and his son-in-law, Warren Snyder.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Oliver’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 7, at the funeral home and conducted by Oliver's nephew, Larry Black. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park with a reception to be held afterwards.
