Oscar Clark Thompson Jr., age 73, of Hampton, Virginia went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Thompson, his parents Oscar and Hazel Thompson and his sister Shirley Bender.
He leaves behind his two sisters Anna Harrell and Anita Hurst, his two children Doris Williams and Tommy Thompson, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Oscar loved being a truck driver and being able to travel all over the U.S seeing new sites and picking up collectables along the way. He also loved his country music, especially Hank Williams Jr., who he had the excitement of meeting at a concert years ago. Oscar was also a big NASCAR fan. Richard Petty was his favorite driver, who he also had the honor of meeting.
Oscar was known most of all for being a family man, and loved being around his family at all times. he was the sweetest man and always had the respect of referring to others as maam or sir even if they were younger then him.
A visitation for Oscar will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Virginia. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Avenuie, Hampton, Virginia.
